James E. Wilson is the Founder and CEO of J.E. Wilson Advisors and developer of The Integrated Economic Solution®, the unique wealth management process created for firm clients.

Mr. Wilson is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) licensee, having successfully completed the postgraduate study in investments, taxation, insurance, estate and retirement planning.

James has been recognized in several financial publications, including the following:

  • Named one of the "Best Financial Planners in America" by Money magazine in 1987.
  • Named to the Worth magazine "Top Financial Advisors" list in 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997 and 1998.
  • Chosen as one of the "Best Financial Advisors for Physicians" by Medical Economics Magazine in 1998, 2000, 2002, 2004 and 2006.

Mr. Wilson has appeared on national television programs, including CNBC, and has written and been quoted in over 100 articles in financial periodicals, including Business Week, The Wall Street Journal, Kiplinger's, The New York Times, Worth, and The Washington Post.

Mr. Wilson is past president of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA), which is the primary professional association for FEE-ONLY financial advisors. He also served four years on the Board of Governors of the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards. Mr. Wilson serves on the Boards of Family Honor, Inc. and The Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter.

Mr. Wilson and his wife Cathy have two children, John and Nazley. They live in Columbia and are active members of Good Shepherd Catholic Church.
